From Monday 3rd September we switch to the new wheelie bin collection system. Residents should already have their new schedule. Some households are changing their waste collection day and for a few the switch-over may have a gap of 3 weeks for 1 or more of their bins. Please make sure you understand the changes. The blue and green crates will no longer be used and can be re-purposed or thrown away. We are waiting for the council to let us know when they will collect any unwanted old recycling crates. If you have elderly neighbours please check that they understand the new collection arrangements.
The Council’s recycling leaflets explain what can and cannot be recycled, and which bins to use. Please read it carefully as some items, such as shredded paper, are not accepted.
