Lloyds Bank Scam

Posted on August 22, 2018 by pk

They just keep trying. If you have received an email from Lloyds, or any other bank, telling you that your payment to ‘Joe Bloggs’ for £2500 is currently going through, then it’s almost certainly a scam. Delete it if you have any suspicions, and contact your bank if you are in doubt. These scams usually come with a highlighted link. Hovering, but NEVER clicking, will show the URL (address) of the link in the bottom left corner of your screen and look like this http://thisisacon.com/537648409 or something similar. It almost certainly will not be a genuine link to Lloyds or any other bank. If it looks suspicious and you weren’t expecting it – then ignore it. Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date too – there are free versions which are better than none at all.
