During these unprecedented times, many of us have sought sanctuary in our open spaces and taken exercise in our local roads. We appreciate how fortunate we are to live in this green and leafy part of London. Join Keep Britain Tidy’s Great British Spring Clean and help to make Kenley a tidier place.
There are several ways to join in this year’s Great British Spring Clean. The pandemic has made it difficult to organise group events, so we’d like to encourage individuals and small social groups to undertake litter picks in our area. This can be done by committing an amount of time on the Keep Britain Tidy website, or simply deciding to do-your-bit from 28th May to 13th June. However you decide to help, it will make a great difference to the look and feel of our local area.
Most people who litter pick get a great sense of satisfaction from it. There’s an added bonus too; clean streets are safer streets. So why not give it a try. And if you get the litter picking bug, you can become a Croydon Street Champion.
