LITTER

Our Monthly Sunday Litter Picks

We meet at 10am at Kenley Station Car Park. All kit supplied by Don’t Mess With Croydon.

Look out for dates on this website or in our weekly eNewsletter

Could you help make Kenley Litter Free by becoming a Street Champion?

We need volunteers to remove litter from the roads where they live. Just a few minutes litter picking per week could make all the difference. The aim is to have a Street Champion for every road in Kenley.

All kit and support will be provided by Croydon’s Don’t Mess With Croydon. Volunteers will join the growing number of Kenley residents who are now Street Champions.

Contact litter@kenlera.org.uk for more details.

The Scourge of Litter

Road Litter

Avoidable, inexcusable and a waste of tax-payers’ money.

Keep Britain Tidy estimates clearing litter costs £1 billion annually.

Litter is unsightly, but research shows it has a negative psychological affect. People feel less safe in littered areas. It contributes to crime, giving the impression that an area is uncared for .

Catching litterers isn’t easy, but offenders can be reported to the Council and could receive an £80 fine.
