Tell Croydon How you feel about Community Safety

Croydon Council are undertaking a survey of residents views regarding crime and antisocial behaviour. Whilst it is easy to ignore yet another one of these surveys, the powers that be do use the results to formulate policy.

Perhaps this is an opportunity to tell them that we are fed up in Kenley with the tremendous rise in burglary rates, and the lack of Police presence in our area? Please use the link below to tell Croydon Council your own views.

TELL US HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT COMMUNITY SAFETY

Residents’ views and feelings on crime and antisocial behaviour are sought in a survey being run by the Safer Croydon Partnership (SCP).

The partnership brings together the council, police, fire brigade, health service, businesses, probation, community and voluntary sector groups in a united bid to keep Croydon safe.

The SCP’s short survey asks whether you feel safe in your neighbourhood, in Croydon town centre, and on public transport.

The survey also questions if drunk and rowdy behaviour, street drinking, fly-tipping, vandalism and graffiti cause you to feel unsafe.

Councillor Mark Watson, cabinet member for communities, safety and justice, said: “I would encourage everyone to take part in this survey, as it helps us to understand which issues and locations people who live and work in Croydon are worried about.

“This will help us direct resources to address those concerns.”

The survey runs until Sunday 6 March. It can be found at: http://svy.mk/1Za11Dl
