So much to do and see

Posted on October 8, 2019October 8, 2019 by pk

If you have received your latest Kendra magazine you’ll have noticed the pages of things to do and see in and around Kenley.

That’s apart from the free, natural beauty of the common. The trees changing into their golden coat, the deer scurrying into the woodland as graceful gliders quietly woosh overhead.

There’s the Observatory too, home to the Croydon Astronomical Society. Now the nights are getting longer, no excuse for not going along to take a look. Details at croydonastro.org.uk

If you have an hour or so to spare visit St. Lawrence’s Church, Caterhan-on-the-Hill for a guided tour. Built in 1095, its an amazing little place with an astonishing past and some extraordinary secrets.

If you’d like to take a tour contact the Guild of Friends of St Lawrence – the tours take place on selected Sundays at 3pm.
