We are organising a litter pick for Sunday 4th June, meeting in the Kenley Station car park at 10.30. Please join us to rid Kenley’s roads of litter. Croydon Council’s Don’t Mess With Croydon team will be there to help and provide bags and some tools. However please bring gloves and anything else that may be useful. There’s no time commitment, so you can do as much as you want to do. As this is the first litter pick we have organised we want to cover the areas which are worst affected. Your suggestions will be welcome.

As we will be gathering litter from roads, please ensure you put safety first. Picking litter is not suitable for children.

If you can’t join us then here are some useful thing you can do to help:

  • Clear litter outside your property.
  • Adopt an area of your road and clear litter as soon as it appears.
  • Make sure recycling bins have lids, are properly filled and not overflowing (Additional bins and lids area available from Croydon Council through their website, or contact LBC Recycling 020 8726 6200)
  • Ensure food recycling is ‘fox proof’.
  • Become a litter volunteer. Send your name and contact details by email to or by text to 07729 805885 and we’ll let you know about future litter picks and strategies.
  • Fly tipping – call the fly-tipping hotline on 0208 604 7000 to report any issues directly to us.
